2. The California Plan

2/19/24

My Legionaries,

This document will provide the preliminary outline and general reasoning for the course of actions hence named the California Plan.

It is necessary to articulate a plan to circulate for internal uses to keep efforts conciliated and precise.

  1. The Development of California Identity
    • This process is cultural, spiritual, communal, and financial. The people of California must be made to feel pride for who they are and what they are. California is a massive cultural center, a caput mundi for the modern age, and the Modern Rome.
      • The creation of The California Report will be seminal for this effort: a cultural catalog that reveres California’s cities, people, establishments, art/poetry, ideas, and identity.
      • The organization of several drives including: Encouraging support for local businesses, farmers markets, tasting local foods, sampling local bands; Field Days in the national parks, visiting and appreciating nature with support for lesser appreciated areas of nature such as the Valley, the Delta, and the Hills; Service Days for volunteering in local initiatives such as soup kitchens, elderly homes, schools, clean up of litter, street and park restoration projects, clothing/canned food drives; Community BBQs where members of the community are encouraged to meet, drink, bonfire, and commune with fellow members of their castra.
      • The establishment of California cultural institutions and investment in existing ones that raise awareness for California heritage, history, and promote good will.
      • Redefinition of California and Californism to mean the main element behind the moral benevolence of liberal ideology. It means to support justice for all, save the planet, oppose oppression, and spread compassion and freedom.
  2. The Promulgation of Legionary Ideology
    • Legionary ideology is one of service and sacrifice. Legionary ideology promotes the abandonment of personal pleasures for the pursuit of higher goals for the common good.
    • Legiondom is a militaristic ideology that first and foremost encourages the Legionary to fight in wars against formidable oppressors and participate in wars to rescue civilians and provide aid.
    • Legiondom is a political system which relies on hierarchy, regimentation, and mobilization to maximize efficiency in completing civic tasks. It is a system of government that provides a means for social mobility, welfare, labor, community, and state management.
      • The California Legion channel seeks to educate on the topic of Legiondom by raising Exemplars of Legiondom, people through history who have exemplified some aspect of Legiondom through their personal actions.
  3. The Conciliation of Californism and Legiondom
    • The conciliation is crucial to the mobilization and regimentation of Californian society to defeating federalism. In this case, Legiondom is the ultimate answer to ending hunger, homelessness, and poverty, abolition of social classes, political corruption, protecting the planet, safeguarding freedom, eliminating crime, and providing a future to the people of the world. Thus making it both Californian and Legionary. Using Legiondom to accomplish Californian goals, which are universal goals.
  4. The Entry into the Electorate
    • The Legion will levy its political section, the California League, to form battalionary alliances with adjacent organizations to make a good faith attempt to establish a political foundation in federal politics to dismantle it from within. Despite the whole of Legiondom being entirely at odds with federalism, an attempt to make good with the populace who are betrothed to it by participating in the system to which so many honest Californians subscribe is necessary.
      • Potential allies could include the Sierra Club, Pro-Californian political organizations, environmental organizations, veterans organizations, and homeless organizations; with the commitment of Legionary labor to volunteer work and donations
  5. The Proclamation of California Secession
    • There can be no electoral solution within the federal system that would allow for the necessary amount and type of reform to take place to completely retrofit the current political system to benefit its constituents. Therefore, a program of separatism from the United States is the only path through which meaningful change can be enacted. California will hold a state referendum on seceding from the Union and a vote of no confidence in the federal government, encouraging its protectorate states (Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas) to leave with it.
    • When this measure inevitably fails, a People’s War will be declared against the federal government which will necessitate the mobilization of the Legion in opposition to the United States.
  6. The War of Californian Secession
    • We shall begin in the mountains, raising support in the cities, we will invariably be dragged into a protracted conflict which may outlast many of our lifetimes. If we can not cast off the spectre of federalism peaceably through vote, it will be necessary that we remove its battrements by force.
  7. The Declaration of the California Legion and the Free Territory
    • Following the war, the Legion will proclaim dominion over the Free Territory of California and all its realms, establishing its first stateless society to govern autarchically for the betterment of its people and the world.

Why California?

  1. California is the cultural, economic, technological epicenter of modernity.
    • Culture: California has occupied a central position in the recent epoch of affairs that has positioned it in a role of command. Be it due to good weather, desirable real estate, or pure happenstance; California occupies this role. With two worldwide centers for global media influence: Hollywood and Silicon Valley, California has found itself with tremendous authority over the world-concept of what is creatively, ethically, and politically eminent.
    • Economic: Within the United States, California is the most prosperous state by leaps and bounds. In a way that has carried since gold was discovered flowing in Her rivers, California has remained the blooming grounds for innovation and prosperity. California ranks First agriculture, First in manufacturing, First in exports and shipping, First in access to capital and funding, with San Francisco and Los Angeles ranking Fifth and Sixth in the Global Financial Centres Index, Seventh in petroleum export, and First in GDP with $3.6 Trillion representing 14.3% of the total US economy.
    • Tech: In the Age of Information, California was the birthing ground for the development of high technology and innovation which now paves the way of modern society. California is responsible for the invention of the internet, the microprocessor, the integrated circuit, the microcomputer, and thus the personal computer, email, Google, YouTube, and social media at-large.
  2. California possesses both the Imperium and Entelechy seminal for executing this transfiguration.

What is to be Done?

  1. Para bellum - Call to Arms - get onboard with theory, learn legency.
  2. Posse comitatus- battalionation, forming group.
  3. Exousia - enacting change, starting locally, artistically, activistically.
  4. Manumission - California separatism, lead the way to legiondom by manifesting legency. Remove Federalism.
  5. Bellicum - bring change to the world and instantiate will.
  6. Triumphii - uniting the world, with respect to everyone’s differences, by returning control to the people (seize means of protection)
  7. Cotillion - collaboration, working the entire world together as a team, ending the Polimachy (the war of states/nations).
  8. Extropy - working towards an improved common future to eliminate the problems of the past and push the boundaries ever farther in line with the innovative animus of humanity.
  9. Legiondom - the unity of all these principles for full arete of the anima mundi.
